Matthew
Stevens Motor Art
Matthew Stevens has
become known for a style unique among motoring artists,
using traditional techniques to produce work which
is unmistakeable, gaining him an international following.
In a style reminiscent
of sixties pop art, Stevens has taken the depiction
of the greatest cars of all time to a new level, reinforcing
their iconic status. With such bold use of colour and
scale, coupled with a fastidious technique, his work
needs to be seen to be fully appreciated so he exhibits
whenever he has the opportunity.
After graduating
from UWCC in Medieval History & Archaeology, Matthew
worked in the music industry until he decided to devote
all his time to automotive art.
Since the last 'Art & Collectibles'
supplement his work was seen at the Goodwood 'Festival
of Speed' and 'Revival', Stoneleigh, Alexandra Palace
and the NEC.
He has also had features
in both 'Classic and Sports Car' and 'Classic Cars'
magazine, and has provided artwork for the 'Art History'
feature in the US magazine 'Vintage Racecar Journal'.
Now with an established
reputation, Stevens intends to make his work available
to commission and is happy to discuss all aspects of
this process, from conception to completion.
